So, you’re on YouTube on your iPhone or iPad and you’re enjoying the music you’re listening to.
You’re quite busy so want to play the YouTube video in the background rather than having to stay on the app.
This can be frustrating because you don’t want your battery and data to drain really quickly because you’re staying on the YouTube app so much.
The normal YouTube app pauses the video as soon as you come off the app.
In this article, I’m going to show you how you can get YouTube to start playing in the background.
Open a Private Browser in Safari
The first freeway you’d be able to play YouTube videos in the background is by opening a private browser in Safari on your iPhone.
- Open Safari on your iPhone
- Click on the tab button
- Click on Private browsing
- Go on YouTube and watch a video
- Go to the home screen and it should still play
That’s the first way you can fix this problem.
Download Tubidy in App Store
The second method to use and the best in my opinion as the first doesn’t always work is to use Tubidy.
Tubidy is a very simple app that allows you to play music that you listen to on YouTube and after you download the mp3 version, you don’t need to use Wi-Fi to use the app.
To use Tubidy:
- Download it in the App Store
- Open the app
- Click on the search icon and search for the video
- Click the download button and click mp3
- Go into the recent tab and click on the mp3 file
That’s how you play YouTube videos in the background.
Open a YouTube red Account
If you want a more reliable version, you’ll need to pay for it.
To use YouTube Red:
- Open YouTube
- Click on Account
- Tap on YouTube Red
After you’ve done this, you’ll be able to play YouTube videos in the background.
Those are all of the steps you need to take when YouTube videos aren’t playing in the background on your iPhone.
If none of these worked, comment down below and ill help you.
