However, there is a way to get this issue sorted out so you will be able to listen to all your songs on iTunes.

The main reason for a song to be greyed out on iTunes, is a sync issue. Sometimes, if the sync is partially completed, then some iTunes songs are greyed out. These songs are not on the current device that you’re using, and have to be synced over the air so you can listen to on the device that you’re currently using.
