If you are using an Android device, follow these steps. While there are quite a few different models of Androids, and most of them have a power button. If your Android does not have a power button, you must look up how to restart it. You must search

“How to Restart [your exact model of Android].” This will tell you exactly how to restart your phone. Once it is complete, see if this allows you to turn off RTT on your Android.

If you have a home button, follow these steps to restart your Android.

1. Grab your Android and hold down the Power and Volume Down buttons on your phone for thirty seconds. Hold them at the same time.

2. Your phone screen will turn black, and it should automatically power back on. If it stays black for a long time, hold down the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously for at least fifteen seconds or until your phone powers up.

3. Doing this will restart your Android device.

You will not lose any settings or have to do anything else. Doing this is just like
turning your phone off but taking it to a higher level. A restart is a great way to eliminate any bugs affecting your Android and only takes a couple of minutes to complete.

If you are using an iPhone, follow these steps instead. The iPhones have changed through each release, but how you restart has also changed. Each model will be a little different. If your iPhone has a Face ID, meaning you have an iPhone X, Xs, or any model of the 11, 12, or 13, follow these steps.

2. RTT Server is Down

If the RTT system is at fault for your inability to turn it off on your device, only RTT can fix it, so you will have to wait until they can do just that. One way to check if it is genuinely on RTT is to go to DownDetetector.com. Once there, type RTT into the search bar.

If you went to DownDetector.com and learned that the RTT server is down and no longer working, the only way to solve this is to wait for the server to come back online.

This problem is on RTT’s end, which means there is nothing you can personally fix to solve your posting problems. The only solution is to wait until workers can get the server functioning and online again.

However, in the meantime, you can keep checking DownDetector.com and refreshing RTT’s status to react as soon as the server is back up and turn off RTT on your device.

3. Update The RTT App

Another reason RTT might not be turning off on your device is that you need to update the app. Updates allow the app to offer newer features and content and allow app creators to learn about little fixes they need to make.

If this has been done and an updated version of RTT is available, you might be having these issues because you need an update. To do this, follow these steps.

1. First, you must go to the app store on your device.

2. Next, find the update section.

3. If RTT has fixed this bug through an update, you will see the app waiting in the update section and download the update. You can also select a setting that will atomically update your apps as they are released.

This way, RTT is no longer outdated, and you can turn the feature off on your device. However, there is also a chance that RTT does not need an update.

If you go to the app store, then the update section, and notice that RTT is not listed there, your RTT app is up to date. Something else is causing your issue of not being able to turn the feature off.

4. Reinstall the RTT App

If all else is still not working and you want to be able to turn off RTT on your device, you can also try reinstalling the app from your device. To do so, follow these steps.

  1. First, delete the app from your phone, tablet, or other devices you use RTT on.

2. Then head to the app store and reinstall your RTT app.

3. You will then have to log back into your RTT account, and now, you can
potentially turn the app off on your device.

Once you have deleted and reinstalled RTT, this may be the solution you need to overcome the bug causing your issues with not being able to turn the app off.

5. Clear the Cache

You can also clear cache in your RTT app, which erases any data saved onto the

app and is no longer needed by you or by RTT. Doing this is another way you can try to turn off RTT on your device. Thankfully, it takes only a couple of minutes. Follow these steps to do just that.

  1. On the device that you are using that is having problems with the RTT app, open up Settings.
  2. Next, within Settings, go to the page where all your apps are located.
  3. Once on your app’s page, scroll until you find the RTT app and select it.
  4. You will now see a button that says Clear Cache, and click on it.

Now that you have cleared the cache on your RTT app exit out of the app and then reopen it. Hopefully, you can get back to turning off the feature on your device.

The other option says Get Support Anywhere. This will bring you to the app store, where you can download their support app or go to the app store on your own and search for Apple Support.

The app will be another way for you to directly contact customer service and have them solve your iPhone not turning off RTT issues for you. This will also give you details on where your nearest Apple store is and the hours of operation if they cannot solve the problem for you.

7. Contact Samsung
