You’ve gone on someone’s Threads profile, and you’ve clicked on their followers in their bio only to see that it’s not in order. In most cases, you’ll see that people you follow are at the top rather than people that recently followed them, just like Instagram.
If you want to see someone’s recent followers on Threads, there are a few ways that you can go about doing it.
Can You See Someone’s Recent Followers on Threads?
No, there is no direct way to see who someone was recently followed by on Threads. The way the follower’s list is ordered right now is a bit all over the place. Because it’s relatively new, Instagram/Threads aren’t focused on how your followers list is displayed to other users so there isn’t much to be said on the topic.
How to See Someone’s Recent Followers on Threads
1. Use a Third-party Service Like SnoopReport
If I was in your position and I wanted to see who someone recently just followed, the first thing I would start with is using third-party software like SnoopReport.
Snoop Report allows you to spy on Instagram on anyone of your choice. This means instead of looking at their followers on Threads, since SnoopReports is only for Instagram, you can just check their recent followers on Instagram as that’ll give you a bigger picture of who your bf or gf may have been messaging recently. Snoop reports can be done for up to 10 or 100 people depending on your subscription plan.
SnoopReport practically gives you all the information you would want when trying to spy on someone such as seeing who they recently followed or whose picture they just liked.
All of the information collected by SnoopReports is collected from public accounts and if you’re trying to see the recent followers of a private account, you should know that this isn’t possible.
Once you sign up, you’ll need to choose a plan that’s tailored to you and it can come up to as little as $6 a month. There are bigger plans that allow you to snoop on up to 100 Instagram accounts but I doubt you’d need that many.
From here, you should be able to see the reports and the recent accounts that someone was followed by.
2. Check Who They Follow on Instagram
If someone follows everyone that follows them on Instagram, then you can get a good idea of who they were recently followed by on Threads. Instead of using tiresome methods to find out who just followed them, if you know they follow everyone who follows them back, you can get a good idea of their recent followers list on Instagram as well as threads.
But how do you know if they actually follow everyone who follows them? You don’t, but there are a few ways that you can guess. The first way is by looking at the number of following and followers. When someone’s following is on a similar number to their followers, then it’s safe to assume that they’re following everyone who follows them.
You could go the extra mile to test this out by following them from a fake account. (Tip: If you’re wondering if there are ways someone can tell you’re behind a fake account on Instagram, there are, and you can use the article I’ve written on this to avoid making mistakes that get you found out.)
Once you’ve followed them from the fake account, then you should wait for them to follow you back. It’s even better if your profile is realistic because then you don’t have to worry about them not possibly following you back because your profile looked fake.
So if they’ve followed you back, and they have a similar following to followers count in terms of quantity, then you can gauge who recently followed them by looking at who they’re following.
Concluding the Methods
These are pretty much the only two consistent ways that you can use to see who someone has recently been followed by on Threads. As I said in the beginning, there is no way to find out by just looking at their followers on Threads.
Threads Followers List Order
The Threads follower’s list is ordered in terms of who has a blue checkmark and who follows you. So those with a blue checkmark within someone’s follower’s list are prioritized because that is the point of the whole feature. It gives priority to those who pay monthly for Instagram verification so they are the first ones you’ll see on someone’s list.
Furthermore, if there are people who follow you within someone’s follower’s list, they’ll be prioritized and shown towards the start of the list.
