Text messages/ Instant messages have to be one of the most used ways of communication. The thing with text messages is that they sometimes do not convey the message properly. At the same time, people do not want to make phone calls either.

In this case, Voice messages arrive as a savior and help people convey the message clearly without making a phone call. If you are using voice messages on the WhatsApp then there is a good chance that you would know how to save them. If you don’t, you can learn that from this article.

Saving Received Voice Messages on WhatsApp:

You must be thinking that it would be a pretty straightforward process that won’t have any complications. As a matter of fact, saving voice notes is a bit tricky process. If you are on Android, you might be able to locate saved WhatsApp audio files with the help of suitable File Manager apps. However, iPhone users do not have this direct exporting options available. Instead, they will need to follow a bit lengthy protocol. There are two ways through which you can save voice notes from WhatsApp.

Saving Using Forward option

You can save the WhatsApp audios using the forwarding function of WhatsApp. Here is how to do that.

1. Open the chat which contains the voice message that you want to save.

2. Tap-hold that voice message until a small pop-up menu appears. Choose the option Forward from that menu.

3. Next, tap on the icon that appears on the bottom-right of the screen. Upon clicking this option you will see the various options on the screen.
Save to Files

4. One of the options on the screen would be Save to Files. Tap on that option and it will save the voice note on your iPhone.

5. Exist the WhatsApp and then head to the files on your iPhone. Choose the option on my iPhone and then you will be able to see the file you have just saved.

Send and Save as Email:

Weirdly, some iPhone users are unable to see the option Save to Files even when they follow the same steps. It may have to do something with the format of the file. These users can instead use the forward option to email the voice note to themselves and then download the attachment. Here are the steps that they need to follow:

4. Choose the option Mail, the Mail app will open with voice note attached and ready to be sent. Just type in your own email, hit send and then head to inbox and save the attachment that you have just received.
