Adjust Settings to Hide Dock on Mac

This is very easy to carry out, and only requires a few moments of your time. You’ll need to adjust the settings on your Mac, using System Preferences. In order to get started and adjust the settings on your Mac to hide the Dock, follow the simple instructions below.

1. Click on the Apple logo in the top left corner of your screen.

2. From the drop-down menu that appears, click on System Preferences.

3. Click on the Dock preference panel. It will be the third item in the top row.

4. Click on the checkbox for Automatically hide and show the Dock. The checkbox should have a small blue check inside of it, when enabled.

It’s as simple as that. Now the Dock won’t always be present and your screen will no longer look cluttered. If you wish to use the Dock, all you need to do is move your cursor to the bottom of the screen, and the Dock will reappear. After you move your cursor back towards the top of your display, the Dock will disappear.
