How to Use Facebook on Your Apple Watch

Apple Watches have been around the corner for quite a long time, but it is just recently that Apple decided to change the Apple Watch’ design. It is the first time that Apple Watch (Series 4) has experienced a design change, and users are chuffed about it.

The new design comes incorporated with an improved speaker. The relocation of the microphone has also been made. Now, the wearable is 50% louder, and echo sound has also been reduced for a better quality of voice. So, the users who had concerns with the volume of the device are now satisfied with the improvements.

However, there remains a small number of Apple Watch users who still aren’t sure about the volume. Perhaps, it is just the fact that their watch isn’t working properly and they need to address the issue. If you are also experiencing the same issue then have a look at some of the tips that can help fix the problem.

Remove the Protective Case:

Apple devices are deemed notoriously fragile and therefore, almost every Apple user, regardless of the device, tend to keep it in a protective cover. You can buy bands, charging docks and amazing protective covers if you desire to give your watch a fascinating look.

Unfortunately, if you are using a protective cover to protect your watch then it is also covering the microphone and speakers too. What it means is that the volume would be reduced to half if you use a protective cover. So, remove a protective cover and see if that’ the case. If it doesn’t work then put the cover back and move on to the next step.

Restart:

You need to give your Apple Watch some rest. Nowadays, many people are using the Apple Watch to check notifications and even responding to a few. Too much usage without a shutdown can affect the OS’ functionality, and it results in declined performance of the watch. Therefore, restarting your watch often can enhance its functionality.

1. Press-hold the side button until the Power Off Slider appears on the screen.

2. Swipe right on the slider to switch your watch off.

3. Once turned off, wait 5-10 minutes and then press-hold the side button to switch the watch on.

Settings:

You may be cursing Apple for the volume problem on your device but in reality, it could be your own doing that is prompting the problem. The watch may be set to either Silent or Do Not Disturb mode and that is why the volume issue is occurring. There is also another mode called Theatre mode and it also can be the reason. To check the mode:

1. Press the Digital Crown on your Watch.

2. Now swipe up to prompt the Settings.

3. Now look for the active icons. If Silent, Do Not Disturb, or Theatre is on then tap all of them one-by-one to switch them off.

Disabling Silent Mode via iPhone:

You can also use your iPhone to disable the silent mode on the Apple Watch. To do that, you simply need to follow these two steps.

1. Select Sounds & Haptics under My Watch tab.

2. Now look for the option Silent and toggle it off to disable it.

Bluetooth:

If you have your AirPods paired with your watch then they can be the reason why you are facing volume issues. To check what is connected to your device, you need to:

1. Tap Digital Crown and select the Settings app.

2. Now choose the option Bluetooth.

3. On the list of devices, make sure there isn’t a device attached. If there is a device attached then unpair it or at least detach it by turning it off.

Airplane Mode:

Why not use Airplane mode to your advantage? Airplane mode is just like a quick reset that comes handy in problems like that.

1. Press the Digital Crown on your Watch.

2. Now swipe up to prompt the Settings.

3. Now tap on the Airplane mode icon to enable it.

4. Wait 2-3 minutes and disable it back.

5. Now make a phone call to see if it has made any difference or not.

Unpair and Re-Pair:

If the issue remains even after applying the tips mentioned above then you will need to unpair your device and then re-pair it again. You can do it by:

1. Open the Watch App on your iPhone.

2. Locate your device and tap on the information/detail icon across it.

3. Select Unpair Apple Watch and follow the instructions.

4. Once done, re-pair the Watch to iPhone.

Doing this will not delete any data whatsoever as iCloud automatically backs it up. You can later restore it by using the most recent backup version.
