Your Account Has Been Disabled in the App Store and iTunes

On your iOS device, the iTunes Store and App Store allows you to purchase different things all with the use of an Apple ID.

Your Apple ID contains a lot of information and this info needs to be protected. If your account has breached Apple privacy terms, then you’ll see the error message, “Your Account Has Been Disabled in the App Store and iTunes.”

When your account has been disabled, it means that your Apple ID has also been disabled. You need your Apple ID to make the most out of your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Without your Apple ID, you won’t be able to use the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, FaceTime, iMessage, iTunes Store, Films, Books and more.

The Reason why your Account is Disabled

The main reason why your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes is that you have entered your password incorrectly too many times when trying to sign in. Entering your password too many times is a sign that you don’t know your Apple ID password. Apple may see this as a security breach which is why they’ve disabled your account.

1. Verify Apple ID

To try and get your iOS device active again, you’ll need to verify it on the Apple ID page and answer a few questions about it. Once you’ve answered a few security questions, you’ll be able to get your Apple account again.

1. Go to the Apple ID page.

2. Click on Forgotten your Apple ID or password.

3. Enter your Apple ID.

4. Click Continue.

5. Answer questions. You’ll be asked a question such as what your phone number is.

6. Follow the rest of the instructions. Once you’re done, you should be able to use Apple services again with seeing the Apple ID disabled message.

2. Reset Apple ID Password

Since the main reason for this error is entering your password too many times, you’ll need to inform Apple that you’ve forgotten your Apple ID password. From here, you’ll need to 2 step verify to prove that you own the Apple ID.

1. Go to the Apple ID page.

2. Click on Forgotten your Apple ID or password.

3. Enter your Apple ID.

4. Select the option to reset your password.

5. Select Continue.

6. Enter your Recovery Key for two-step verification.

7. Choose a trusted device. Make sure this is the device that you received the error message from. The iOS device will be sent a verification code.

8. Enter the verification code.

9. Create a new password.

10. Select Reset Password. After you reset your password, you’ll be asked to sign in again with your new Apple ID and password.

3. Contact Apple Support Live Chat

Apple Support live chat is available 24×7 and their live chat allows you to contact them about your issues in real time.

When you’re on a live chat, you’re actually speaking to a member Apple support team rather than a bot which isn’t able to understand your problem.  This allows you to ask them questions about the trouble you’re facing, and they’ll give you support.

You can speak to live support about any issues that you’re having included your disabled account.

4. Restore Old Backup

If you’re not able to get your account back, you always have the option to restore an old back before your account was disabled. If you do restore an old backup, it will take your iOS device back to the way it was before the problem happened. This will allow you to avoid the situation that caused your Apple Account to disable.

You’ll first need to make sure that you have an iCloud backup in place. Go to Settings > Click your name > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups. If you don’t have a backup that occurred before your account was disabled, you won’t be able to use this method.

If you have a backup in place, you’ll need to wipe your device and restore this backup.

1. Go to Settings > General > Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings. Wait for your iOS device to reset.

2. On the Apps & Data screen, tap Restore from iCloud Backup > sign in to iCloud.

3. Choose backup, then choose from a list of available backups in iCloud.
