It’s recommended to not really worry about it, because they’ll probably know you didn’t mean to give out this notification on purpose.
Chances are, they won’t even notice or care about this notification unless they care about your profile. Unless you post to your Instagram every day and don’t stop, you can’t stop this message from going out to your followers; it’s up to them to turn off the notification.
It is entirely possible to turn off this notification, so you won’t see it anymore. It’s understandable to want to do this, as these notifications can be quite annoying, especially when you don’t care about the Instagram account in question. Here’s how to turn it off!
How to Turn Off “Posted for the First Time in a While”
While you can’t stop this notification from going out to others, you can block the notification from going to you. To do this,
1. Open your Instagram app.
2. Head to your Instagram profile by pressing your profile picture located in the bottom right corner.
3. Now, at the top right corner of the screen, press the 3 stacked lines. Next, tap “Settings”.
4. Scroll down to “Push Notification Settings”.
5. From here, you can choose which notifications you’d like to turn off. To make sure you don’t get this notification, turn off “First Posts and Stories”.
We also recommend turning off “Friends on Instagram”, but it’s all up to you to pick and choose what Instagram notifications you would no longer like to see. You can even turn off all notifications from this menu; it’s all up to you.

Does Instagram Notify When You Post for the First Time
After not posting on Instagram for a while, when you return, your followers will be told you posted for the first time in a while. When they press the notification, they’ll be brought to your new Instagram post where they can like and comment like usual.
