Can Onlyfans See Your Name?

An OnlyFans members are often concerned about their privacy on the platform because they do not want to be seen and associated with the kind of adult content that the platform offers.

So, as an OnlyFans member, you may be worried about just how much of your identity is visible to OnlyFans, OnlyFans creators, other OnlyFans users, and the public in general.

In fact, we have already done an article on taking screenshots on OnlyFans as part of our efforts to address your privacy concerns on OnlyFans.

In this article, we are going to answer all your questions about what can be seen by others about you on OnlyFans, and provide recommendations where possible to shore up your privacy and enable you to use OnlyFans in a secure and private way.

Can Onlyfans See Your Name?

The answer to this question is, it depends. If you use your real name during registration, then OnlyFans definitely sees your name. However, the good thing about OnlyFans is that you do not need to use your real name to sign up on the platform.

When signing up, you are required to enter your Name, email, and a password. The only verification performed by OnlyFans is email verification. You are sent an email containing a verification link which you must click on to verify your account and start using OnlyFans.

So, if you enter a pseudonym here, then there is no way OnlyFans sees your name. The problem users have is that they either enter their real names or sign up for OnlyFans using Twitter, Google, or even Windows Hello.

If you use any of Google or Twitter, and the linked account contains your real name, then your real name will be registered on OnlyFans, and OnlyFans can see it.

If you have already used your real name, we can undo it by editing your profile. Here’s how:

On PC

1. Go to onlyfans.com and sign into your account

2. Click on your username initials at the top left of the screen, then click on My Profile to open your OnlyFans profile

3. Next, click on Edit Profile with the cog or gear icon on it

4. On the page that opens, you will see Username which OnlyFans automatically generated for you. It is usually a mixture of letters and numbers. You can change or leave that.

5. Then at display name, click to change it as well

6. You can edit or remove any other information on your profile that may identify you to anyone and then click Save at the top right of the screen when done

On Phone

1. Go to onlyfans.com and sign into your account

2. Click on your username initials at the bottom right of the screen, then click on My Profile to open your OnlyFans profile

If you signed in with Google or any other platform that synced your real name, you can still follow the same steps to change your Display Name that was synced from Google or Twitter.

However, because your account is linked to your Google or Twitter account which bears your real name, OnlyFans may still be able to see your name. In that case, you would need to de-link your Google or Twitter account from OnlyFans.

But there is a caveat. If you want to de-link your Google or Twitter account, you need to make sure that your OnlyFans account has a password and email that is separate from the Google or Twitter account.

If you do not have one and de-link your Google or Twitter account, you will lose your OnlyFans account entirely.

If you only registered with your Google or Twitter account and do not have a separate email and password for the account, we can fix that for you. Follow the steps below:

1. Go to onlyfans.com and sign into your account

2. Click on your username initials at the top left of the screen (if you are using a phone, it is at the bottom right of the screen), then click on Settings a bit down on the options list

3. Next, click on Account to open account settings

4. Click on Email, then click on Update Email Address to change the email address

5. A code will be sent to your linked Google account. Enter the code into the space given on OnlyFans

If you do not see the email in your inbox, check in your Spam or Junk folder; it should be there.

1. Next, enter your new email (you can create a random email just for OnlyFans verification) and enter the code sent to the new email for verification

2. Click on Next to finish setup

3. Go back one step to the Settings page and click on Password

4. Here, set a new password and click Save

That’s it. You’re now ready to de-link your linked Google or Twitter account. To do this,

1. Click on Google Account or Twitter Account under Linked Account in the Settings page

2. Then, click on Disconnect to disconnect the linked account

Just make sure that the email you are using does not contain your real names. After delinking your Google or Twitter account, you are now sure that your name is no longer visible to OnlyFans or anyone else for that matter.

Does Onlyfans Show Your Name

Yes, OnlyFans shows your name. But it only shows the name that you give it access to. So, if you use your real name or link an account that bears your name, then your name is visible to OnlyFans and to OnlyFans creators.

The only details that are visible are your display name, your username, your bio, and your profile picture. And you have total control over the contents of each of these.

There is no sinister, behind-the-scenes integration that allows OnlyFans to access and display information about you that you do not have control over and give express permissions for.

So, if you are worried about being seen, simply change your username, display name and profile picture.

You can change your username and display name using the steps already provided earlier in the article. To change your profile picture, follow the steps below:

On PC

1. Go to onlyfans.com and sign into your account

2. Click on your username initials at the top left of the screen, then click on My Profile to open your OnlyFans profile

3. Next, click on Edit Profile with the cog or gear icon on it

4. Click on the camera on your profile picture to change it

5. If you want to completely remove the profile picture and leave it blank, click on the X to the right on your profile picture to delete your picture and leave it blank

6. Click on save when done.

On Mobile:

1. Go to onlyfans.com and sign into your account

2. Click on your username initials at the bottom right of the screen

3. Then click on My Profile to open your OnlyFans profile

4. Click on the camera on your profile picture to change it

5. If you want to completely remove the profile picture and leave it blank, click on the X to the right on your profile picture to delete your picture and leave it blank

6. Click on save when done.

Can Someone Tell Who You Are on Onlyfans

Again, the answer to this is, it depends. If you use your real name or a known nickname, or you use your real picture as profile picture on OnlyFans, then people can definitely tell who you are on OnlyFans.

But if you use an unknown display name and username, and do not use your photo as profile picture, then there is no way that someone can tell who you are on OnlyFans.

If you added your phone number on OnlyFans, you need not worry about people finding you using your phone number. The phone number is only used as 2-factor authentication to verify login requests.

OnlyFans does not display your phone number, nor does it access your phone contacts to for any reason whatsoever.

That’s pretty obvious anyway seeing that OnlyFans is only web-based and is not an app. So, there is no way that it can integrate with your phone contacts to compromise your privacy.

What Can OnlyFans See

OnlyFans can only see the information that you explicitly enter on the platform or grant it access to. This includes your display name, your username, your profile picture, and your bio. If you grant OnlyFans access to your Google or Twitter, then it will see your names on those platforms.

But wait, this does not mean that those are the only data that OnlyFans collects. There are so many other data that OnlyFans collects about you with your permission, of course, but these data are stored in such a way that they are encrypted and are not visible to OnlyFans or any user for that matter. Some of the data collected by OnlyFans include:

  • Other personal information such as postal address, internet protocol address, email address, debit and credit card details.
  • Your browsing history and preferences on the platform so that OnlyFans can suggest relevant content to you

For creators on OnlyFans, the information collected is a lot more than the above listed.

But collecting this information does not mean that OnlyFans displays them or releases them to any third parties. They are only used by OnlyFans algorithms to personalize your experience, and for processing payments that you make on the platform.

What Information Can OnlyFans Creators See?

OnlyFans creators can only see details that any other user can see. They can only see your Username, Display Name, Profile Picture, and bio. Absolutely nothing else. They do not see anything about your credit card information, be it your real name or address.

Here is what OnlyFans shares with OnlyFans content creators about you according to their privacy policy section 2F:

  • Your Account Name on OnlyFans – This, you already have control over. You can choose whatever display name and username you want. That is all that is visible to OnlyFans creators. The creators can see this info once you subscribe. If they click on your profile, they can then see your bio and profile picture.

Can Onlyfans See Who Paid

Yes, OnlyFans can see who paid. That is the only way that your payment can be associated with your account to give you access to the service that you paid for. But there is a caveat.

Payments that you make to OnlyFans are processed by the third-party payment provider, and not OnlyFans. You supply your payment details to the payment provider and not to OnlyFans.

1. The payment provider then provides OnlyFans with a Token that represents your account, your card’s expiration date, your card type, and the first 2 and last 4 digits of your card number.

These details are encrypted and stored securely by OnlyFans so that your subsequent payments are made easy.

Because of an international standard called PCI DSS, OnlyFans is not able to decrypt your card payment details to see your data. They only have the token that represents your account to show that you have indeed made the payment through the third-party payment provider.

2. However, if while filling out your card details, you have to manually enter your name and email address, for example, those details are also provided to OnlyFans by the third-party payment provider.

However, OnlyFans does not use these details for any purpose other than to identify your account as having paid for the requested service.

Can Onlyfans Creators See Your Email

No. OnlyFans creators cannot see your email. Your email, postal address, social security number and other personal identification and personal address information are referred to as Personally Identifiable Information, PII.

And these are strictly guarded by security and privacy policies across the world. They are not visible to any third parties, therefore OnlyFans creators cannot see your email.

As we explained earlier, the only information they can see are your display name (account name), username, bio, and profile picture. Every other personal information is hidden from the public and protected by international privacy and security laws which OnlyFans adheres to.

Can Onlyfans See Who You Are

If you are just a member and not a creator on OnlyFans, then OnlyFans cannot see who you are. You have total control over what OnlyFans can see about you. You choose what information is visible to both OnlyFans and other users and content creators.

Even your payment details are encrypted and hidden from OnlyFans, and the information is only used for payment processing and account status purposes.

For content creators, the reality is different. Content creators need to submit an ID to verify their identity. But if you are just a member, then OnlyFans cannot see who you are unless you use revealing information on the platform.

Can Onlyfans See Who Subscribes

Yes, OnlyFans can see who subscribes. When you make a payment on OnlyFans to subscribe to a content creators account, the payment provider provides OnlyFans with some of your details including your OnlyFans account name, some parts of your card number, and your card expiration number.

Also, if you had to manually type in your bank account name while setting up payment, then OnlyFans will also be provided with your bank account name.

But do not worry about this. These details are protected by PCI DSS law and is not available to OnlyFans for any purpose other than to confirm and validate your subscription status.

Does Onlyfans Show Name on Card

No, OnlyFans does not show the name on your card. OnlyFans does not have access to your name on card in plain form. Your name on card is encrypted and stored in their database for payment purposes only.

This name is in no way made public or shared to any third-party services. Only the payment provider and OnlyFans have access to your name on card and it is not stored in plain form.

So, when you make payment on OnlyFans, rest assured that no user, creator, or social media platform will know that you have made such payment on OnlyFans. You are totally anonymous and can enjoy the content you have paid for on any device without anyone knowing.

Can Onlyfans Creators See Your Name on Credit Card

No, not under any circumstance can an OnlyFans creator see your name on credit or debit card. Neither can they request for your real name no matter what happens.

Your credit card name is a PII (Personally Identifiable Information), and is encrypted and protected on the platform. OnlyFans creators can only see that your display name and username subscribed to their service. They cannot see who you really are or what name is on your credit card.

The fact is that your credit card details are processed outside of OnlyFans, and OnlyFans only gets partial data on your card details. And the data is encrypted anyway. So, there is no way for OnlyFans creators to see your real name on credit or debit card.

Can Someone Find Me On OnlyFans

OnlyFans does not have a search function. One can only find you on OnlyFans if they have a direct link to your profile. You cannot perform a search for a user on OnlyFans. If you use the search button at the top of the home screen to search for a user, it will always return the Nothing Was Found result.

So, nobody can find you using your display name, username, real name, email address, or phone number.

There are websites like OnlyFinder which allows users to find profiles of OnlyFans creators. But it cannot find your profile as a user. And even the creator search is very random and does not return accurate results of the search term.

In summary

With the right settings, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to your privacy on OnlyFans. As long as you have not used your real name or real picture, you can use OnlyFans anonymously.

And even if you used a third-party service like Google or Twitter to join OnlyFans, you can undo it and continue using OnlyFans with your privacy intact.
