1. Auto Updates Are On

Restarting your Android device is a simple step and is consistent amongst their products.
1. To restart your device or phone, you will need to press and hold the power button on your device.
2. Once held for a few seconds, you will see a screen that has the option to restart your device. You will want to tap the reset option.
Your phone or device will perform the restart, which may take a few moments before it starts back up. This will help to refresh your device and allow it to make any changes.
Once you have reset the device, you can check if you are still having the same issues. If the issue still persists, you will want to move onto one of the other troubleshooting methods mentioned.

Fix 2 – Force Restart Phone

ou should see your device restart within 10 seconds. The last way to force restart an Android device is by removing the battery. This may only be done if the device has a battery pack on the back of it.
If a method does not apply to your phone or device, move onto the next one. All Android devices will offer one of these ways to restart your device.
Fix 3 – Power Your Device In Safe Mode
Powering your device in Safe Mode will make sure that only the necessary apps are running. It will not allow third-party apps to boot up while in this mode.
If your device is running slow, or you find that your apps are crashing, this will allow you to optimize your device enough to find the cause of the problem.
There are two methods to reboot your Android phone or device in Safe Mode.
1. The first method is to press and hold the power button of your device.
2. Once you press and hold the button, you will see the restart/power off menu. You can either press and hold on the ”Restart” button or the “Power Off” button.
3. Either of these will bring you to a “Reboot To Safe Mode” prompt. Once chosen, your device will be in Safe Mode. You will only see a limited amount of programs and options.
This will allow you to narrow down what the complication might be and what may be causing it.
1. The second method to rebooting your device in Safe Mode is to completely power down the device by pressing and holding the power button until you see the restart/power off menu.
2. You will want to press the “Power Off” button. Once your device is completely powered down, you will want to start it back up by holding the power button again.
This time as the device is powering up, press both the volume down button and power button at the same time.
As a result, the manufacturer logo screen will pop up with a recovery icon. You will also see the words Safe Mode on the bottom of your device to confirm that it was rebooted properly in Safe Mode.
Again, this will put your device into a mode that will only allow necessary programs to be used.
After you have checked and fixed any potential issues, you may restart your phone or device once again to restore it back from Safe Mode.
All of your data will still be saved on the device, and you will be able to use your third-party applications again once it has restarted.
Fix 4 – Perform A Factory Reset

This will include photos, applications, notes, and anything else that is stored on the device. This should be the last resort of fixing your device issues.

3. Select “Reset Phone” and then “Erase Everything”. Your device will have a progress screen to show the progress of your data being erased.
4. Once your device has finished erasing all of the data, it will restart the device. You will be met with a screen that looks like the screen from the day you acquired your device.
If accessing the factory reset is not possible from your settings screen, you may need to try the next process. You will need to start with your device turned off. You will be starting the Android phone or device in Recovery Mode.
1. To activate Recovery Mode, press and hold the power button and volume down button at the same time.
2. You will need to hold them both down until you get to a start screen.
3. Once you are at the start screen you will be able to use the power button to select and the volume buttons to scroll through your options.
4. Scroll down until you reach the Recovery Mode option, which you will select using the power button. Once selected, your device will restart.
5. This time, you will want to press and hold the power button and volume up button to bring you to the next screen.
6. You will yet again use the volume buttons to navigate to “Wipe data/Factory Reset” and use the power button to select.
7. Be sure to confirm the factory data reset. Lastly, select “Reboot System Now”. After you have completed these steps, your device will start its factory reset and will begin erasing the data from the device.
You will find that when the device reboots there will be no more third-party applications or any data that was stored on the device prior.
